Description
- Responsible for the engineering, reliability, performance, and lifecycle management of rotating equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation.
- Provide technical expertise for pumps, compressors, blowers, turbines, gearboxes, centrifuges, fans, and other rotating equipment.
- Lead equipment reliability, condition monitoring, vibration analysis, failure investigations, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Develop maintenance strategies, PM/PdM programs, equipment standards, and reliability improvement plans.
Review equipment designs, datasheets, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical modifications. - Lead equipment upgrades, replacement projects, and capital projects from technical specification through execution.
- Prepare technical evaluations for spare parts, equipment procurement, vendor offers, and critical spares.
- Develop maintenance budgets, CAPEX proposals, turnaround requirements, and lifecycle cost evaluations.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and implement engineering solutions to improve availability and performance.
- Maintain equipment documentation, engineering standards, and technical history through CMMS systems such as SAP, Maximo, or Ultimo.
- Provide technical leadership to maintenance teams and contractors and ensure compliance with QHSE, ISO, EMS, and OH&S requirements.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience in rotating equipment engineering, preferably in chemical plants, refineries, power plants, or heavy industries.
